Question Install warning pop-ups

On the Dell Axim x51, is it possible to disable the security warnings that popup sometimes when installing software?

Use Tweak2k and it will automatically disable it.

Ah yes, thanks for pointing me in that direction. From their forum:

HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies,
Value 0000101a
change from 0 to 1
Soft Reset is not needed.

I found that if I did a soft reset this value reset itself to zero.

How (Where) do you get a MS certificate?

As far as I know, it costs a lot of money to get certified, and at this early stage in WM5.0's lifetime, I don't think many developers are going to quickly jump to get certified.

Not to mention a lot of developers simply can't afford the fee.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this :approve:
We had the same fiasco on early Smartphones by Orange in the UK... many phones couldn't run certain programs because they weren't certified. Now there's an Application Unlocker online which you go through every hard reset and Orange removes the lock over the air in 5 minutes.

I don't know if anything like that will surface for WM5 Pocket PCs though... hmm.

You pretty much have to disable it to run many programs because of a bug in the implementation of the Trusted software application.

I've already installed a few applications before applying the fix. I'm just wondering whether I have to re-install all my apps to get them working optimally or would the fix automatically affect those programs after a soft reset?

Should automatically fix it. Apparently the trusted apps didn't allow some resources to be used by the software especially *.mui processes. Disable it and the resources will be accessed fine.
