I checked my order status just now too. Says it is in production but the ship date is still "on or before 11/8/2005"

Dell sucks! (in my opinion)
Dell is really getting on my nerves, dealing with the company has been horrific, had it not been for my Employee purchase plan I would never recomend any dell product based soley on poor customer service, buisness management and faux delivery of promised products. Why cant they just be clear and stop trying to make everything so g ' darn difficult? I tried looking online using all sorts of different ordernumbers service tags and none of them would bring me to any page letting me at the very least know when or even if im scheduled to recieve my Free Mobile UG promised and according to my reciept ([464-1791] Free Windows Mobile 5.0 Upgrade CD with any Dell Axim X50 Order - Will Ship in October 2005) Anyone have any suggestions, seems like im chasing my own tail...

why not we start something "Stand alone complex" (emergent behavior) by doing something ....cancel all Dell's CD all together..all at a time... pushing more pressure to them..and make them release it for free. how is that?

I still like Dell. Their products are great for what I want. I don't really care when I get what I order. As long as I get it I am happy. I never use customer service. This was probably the first time because of the Upgrade situation. Don't let customer service get to you. This was the only time that I couldn't use the Order Status on My Account to tell when the order would ship and Dell is use usually early with their ship dates. So don't let that get you down.
About the Free Upgrade. I would call Dell or do the chat thing (which I prefer) and make sure that they still have you on the list for the free upgrade. From what I have been hearing, those who are applicable for the free upgrade will have it shipped to them as soon as it is available. It looks like it may be available now, so GOOD LUCK!!!

Same here - shipped on 10/28 and now en route via airborne express for delivery between 11/3 and 11/7 - DHL has it scheduled for 11/1 delivery :-D
But to taunt me even more it actually arrived at my local distribution center today at 8:20am!!! Its so close, I can feel it!
