mine shipped on the 28th as well, although it suppose to arrive 11/3 - 11/5 it has already arrived at the local DHL handling facility =D

Like many other happy posters, I have received a shipped confirmation from Dell on my WM5 upgrade for my x50v. However, given all the posts I have reading on the board, I am hesitant to actually install the upgrade.

Any x50v owners received their WM5 Upgrade yet, and have happy installation stories?

It comes with a "lite" version of Battery Pack; which is cool. I like the buttons in the bar at the bottom so you don't have to keep opening and closing the onscreen keyboard when entering information. I like how it asks on PPC to confirm install of programs and I swear it's VGA. It automatically updated all of my contacts, appointments and tasks. I would say a success! I think I have more program memory somehow(I could be wrong). I think it takes a little longer to soft-reset, but there is a status bar so you know when it is about finished. I am happy so far.

Is there any way that i can get an order number on the WM5 shipment...i am being told by dell that it has not been released yet. they asked for an order number of someone that has received theirs (they think that i am lying)

Woohoo! I just got my "Free Upgrade CD" today. It did not arrive via DHL, nor did I EVER get a confirmation email from Dell. It arrived via USPS - First Class mail.

Now the big question - To install or not to install?
