WM 5 Must Be On It's Way, My Credit Card Was Charged!

Well, I just received an email that MY WM 5 order was billed $3.25 for shipping. In the past around this time Dell would send me an email asking me to notify them if I wanted to continue my order.

I have been watching my checing account for the $40.00 charge but with no avail. However, they did charge me $3.25. I am going to assume that they may have waived the $40.00 upgrade charge. We will soon see.

I just got off the phone with dell, and they assured me that they have recived the WM5 and will be releasing it with in a week. And for those that either pre-ordered it or getting it as an up grade with a new purchase to expect it to arrive in your mail by next week. Never thought this day would come....wait, quick look outside make no pigs are flying!!!

My credit card was charged about 3 weeks ago, and I still received notification today that my order was delayed for another week again (until 10/31).
So I wouldn't count on Dell sending out CDs any time soon.

Mine has an expected ship date of "on or before" December 5th, 2005.

Well... I think it's pretty crappy that Dell is charging for shipping on the cd. I sure don't remember the promotion details mentioning this.

I just finished a chat session with Dell about my FREE upgrade CD and was informed that they will have all shipped out by end of October and customers should have them no later than 11/11/05. Not sure if this applies only to the FREE upgrades or for those that actually purchased it as well...

They had told me last week that they would begin shipping the CDs out on 10/21/05, but I dont know of anyone that has received one yet.

I took a quick look through related posts on the Dell (Corporate) forum and a few posts stated the "new" release date is November 15. I have been holding off my full migration from Palm to PPC until I can upgrade my X50V to WM5. I guess I'll make the jump without.

Well, I just checked my order, and it says that it's in Production now, instead of Pre-Prod (where it's been for the last month and a week), so it appears that it's going to ship out either today or tomorrow :)
