Can't upgrade to wm5 ? What am I doing wrong !!!
Hi,
I followed the instructions as stated, when it asks to do a hard reset, it appears that my buttons don't work right at that time so it does not look like it is doing a hard reset but only a soft reset ..so it comes back with wm2003 screen and then the second phase of the update does not light up the continue button ? Any idea ?

You have to wait about 10 minutes after doing a hard reset after the first take for it to format the memory. There is a little progress bar at the bottom of the screen that should appear. Yep, it'll crawl, but eventually you should get there. Just be patient

Should the progress bar appear after every soft reset?

Waited 30 min, never saw that progress bar ??? ..
I am talking after it copies the image and it says copy complete then it asks for the hard reset .. it just statys at that screen with out anything moving. If I hit enter on that screen then I get another one that says to hit continue there but the continue button never light up ..There I see a causing alert that flashes stating that I need to make sure that Active sync is installed and connected ..etc.. When it asks to do a hard reset, the power button does not look like it works Ok along with the reset button .. it feels like a soft reset then ? only split of sconds later, I could do the hard reset .. I am thinking during that first soft one. Any idea ?

Yes. 1. Try it all over again. This time wait! Look for win it asks you for the next step. 2. Don't worry. I have to do a third hard reset. After that it was good. 3. Don't used the backup. Just start everything from scrach.
