Mad CLASS ACTION vs.. MS & DELL et al.

I've had it!!
For a change, Microsoft has released but another piece of crap BEFORE it was ready for public consumption. We will, no doubt, be inandated with, "fixes", "patches" etc.for the next year, just in time for the release WM6 which, in effect, will only be WM5 with the bugs out.
It's appearent to me that Dell, Microsoft, and others knew, or should have known, that WM5 was not going to run properly yet these companies used the attraction of a new OS to con everyone into either purchasing the "upgrade" or in some cases, buying a new device to run this "worthless" program.
I'm an attorney and seriously considering a class action law suit.

I'm so sick of this sue-happy culture (sorry, I don't like lawyers....no offense).

tlav, since you have an x50, the upgrade is optional. Just chill out and use 2003se.

I love how everyone was chomping at the bit to get their hands on this update and screaming at Dell to release it, and now people are screaming because they've got it and don't want it.
The invention of the flamethrower suggests that someone thought, "you know, I'd really like to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just too lazy to walk."

Not me. I love my axim x51v and am very happy with WM5. I just work around the bugs or fix them as I search through these threads. Really a no brainer, and tomorrow, I will only be wearing a suit, not filing one

I hear the frustration. Although WM5 didn't quite meet my expectations, it's running well enough to leave it alone.

It would be sweet if we could have SOME programs exist in RAM

Count me in on the class action. I think that Dell is really irresponsible for releasing the X51 in this instance.

For everyone who thinks the X51 is ok, go to your Best Buy or CompUSA and try one of the HPs that that has WM5. Thats how the PDA is suppose to be.

EDIT: Maybe a Class Action lawsuit would at least get Dell's butt moving to release the patch that they seem to be sitting on. Why do only a few, select people get the A03 ROM? Where is the miracle update that is suppose to fix all the problems?

An incompetent attorney can delay litigation for months
or years. A competent attorney can delay even longer.

I upgraded to WM2005, so far it is working, sue away but I have a feeling the disclaimers will do you in. Perhaps time to realize the majority of people upgrading have no real big problems. And what will you win? A new WM2005 CD?
