Rollback x50v from WM5 to WM2003SE

I found this link at PocketPCThoughts.com for a Dell utility to roll back an x50v from WM5 to WM2003SE if the user decides they like their old OS better.

Hope this helps!

I wonder if you can rollback an Axim X51(v). And I wonder if the WM2003 ROM would be as stable on that platform as on the X50. Seems like it should be.

I wondered that too, but I suspect it is not possible. The restoration probably involves info backed up from the pda when running 2003se, which the X51 user would not have. Just a thought.

I'd actually guess that no backed up info from 2003SE would be restored. The rollback ROM probably checks the hardware ID to make sure it's going onto an x50v. Since all x50v units came with 2003SE, it can do a clean flash to the most recent x50v ROM.
