Has anyone received their free WM5 upgrade?

The subject says it all. Has anyone who purchased an Axim this last summer and promised a free upgrade, received their disk yet?

I did a couple of days ago, but until now I am not able to upgrade ..I get to the point where it tells me to do a hard reset and never go pass that ..Then keeps bringing me back to wm2003se ??? I am begineing to suspect that the cd does not have any valid wm5 upgrade images ...

I go into my account on the Dell web site and there is no indication that I am being sent anything. I guess I need to call India and find out what's going on.

I haven't received my upgrade yet. After reading a few of the posts here, I checked my order status and other areas of my account and except for my past order, which showed the wm5 upgrade, there was nothing to indicate current status.

Used the online chat -- never can get it to work the same way twice. Typed to Kylie who verified that I was indeed entitled to the free upgrade. Then said that I would get it between 11 and 15 Nov., "most assuredly".

Last time i used chat, it emailed me a transcript of the chat. This time it did not, so I didn't even get the case number

we'll see.

I feel pretty stupd for paying for the upgrade because by the time i got it, i lost the x50v and am using a x51v that already has WM5.

Btw, WM5 is really not all that bad.

Nope. Nada. Nothing. No CD. No email.

I did the on-line chat last night and it was the first time I had ever used the chat function where I didn't receive a transcript in my e-mail. The rep said it would be shipped within ten days. After reading some of the posts lately, I probably won't install it right away anyway.

I'm suppose to be getting the free upgrade, too. So far, no CD has arrived. I done the chat this past weekend with two different reps. One, Uma, said it should ship anytime but could not give me any estimated shipping dates.

I received two WM5 upgrade CDs today (I had to return a X50V for replacement in the first week or so, I guess Dell thinks I have two. Whatever).

However, this X50V is currently extremely stable running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, so these upgrade CDs will be left unopened and relegated to a ziplock in the back of the closet for the time being.

Got mine yesterday. Still have some reservations about installing it right now until some of the problems I have seen (mainly battery drain issues) seem to be resolved.

Got my x50v a little over a month ago. Just got my upgrade cd yesterday. Upgraded. No problems with turning it on or running too fast or losing battery life. I think the secret is to not use any today-screen plugins. The only running program I have is magic button.
