Worried WM5 Bluetooth Dell Products

1.I have enoucountered that Dell bluetooth products require a passkey. This is new to me and seems to be a security function. Anyone know how to rectify this?

2.GPS will not work even with version indicated to work. Seems to be a certificate issue.

If anyone can assist I do understand these questions have been asked but mostly unanswered by others.

If anyone finds a solution to these two devices please post so that we can all help eachother. Dell site does not indicate any driver fixes or info at this time.

As a good rule of thumb, try using 0000 as the passkey for your GPS device. Should work after that.

Dell Keyboard had to be updated with R107814.EXE from the Dell Driver area. Once installed, the device was only recognized if the Secure Box is NOT checked! It now works and is WM5 functional!

I am still working on the Dell GPS system.

The Dell gps system is interesting. The GPS receiver requires a passkey but none seem to work. Dell I assume should release this info soon I hope.

The A01 Version of the software is supposed to be compatible, however I find that it does not work at all.

This is the latest and hopefully some new info will be around shortly.

The pass key for GlobalSat 308 & 309 based receivers is 2003.
Try that and see if it works. it is even in your Dell BT owners manual. You just never were requred to set up secure connection under 2003 SE.

BTW :OOOO is the pass key for BT Headsets.

Well this helps, but I think it may be too late. The power up issue is driving me crazy...Works great if you never shut it off!
