WM5 on X50v: Cart before the Horse?

It seems to me that the X5x's problem is that it's architecture is not made to take advantage of the way WM5 is moving. From the articles I have read, WM5 will present new opportunities for the way the hardware is made. The X5x was made with WM2003 in mind.

Here is some areas I feel that new devices will be better than the X5x when running WM5:

RAM and ROM types, and sizes.
Flash (SD/CF) port I/O speed and connection reliability
Power management
Memory management

I would have bought my X50v either with or without the WM5 upgrade. Now that I've read many people's comments, I expect the X5x will probably always run better with WM2003.

For now, all I want from the upgrade is the newer Office applications. I certainly wish I could extract them from the update.

.....umm....okay. I imagine that WM 5 will be better than 2003SE in the long run, though.
