Question Regarding Complaints about WM 5 Performace Compared to 2003 SE?
OK many posts are complaining about the performance issue of WM 5 comapre to WM 2003 SE.
Why would that be? Is it because WM5 is a dog or because of Persistant data Storage. With my current X50V 2003 SE I install all programs into BIS, nothing is installed into RAM. In my case should I see performance about equal, worse, or better. Just got my CD but haven't upgraded yet. Thanks

I didn't see any problems with speed, my issues were with battery and wireless communications, that's it. I thought WM5 was great for everything I used it for, except those two things.
I know that isn't much help, but since BIS/ROM is pretty much the same thing, just a different partition, I don't think you'll see any speed loss. At least not related to the I/O.
