Don't know whether to upgrade...

Well, got the WM5 upgrade yesterday... not sure if I am going to upgrade or not now though!?

It just seems so many people have so many complaints about it... maybe I shouldn't upgrade...

I am waiting until Dell creates update patch first before I upgrade, just because my Axim is running perfect with AO5!

well, if you don't need your ppc everyday, and it can go with some downtime, and if your bored. I'd say its worth the shot to check out wm5, there's a poll that said who got wm5 will go back who will stay, and some people did say they'd stay with wm5, so maybe it worked nice for them? I mean a rom update only takes 5-10 mins? so if you had to change back it'll only be 20 mins used up, well then you gotta reinstall all the 2003se programs (but hey fresh start!)

(But if something goes wrong don't blame me!!)

WM 5 Upgrade CD

Haven't even had the itch to open the WM5 upgrade CD,
yet!

Think I'll just sit back. The Axim X50 is working fine and,
I would hate to lose a few programs installed. In particular
PocketCAD 4 which set me back a couple of hundred bucks!

All's workin' well enough. I might upgrade the X50v I ordered
since I haven't installed any programs, yet. X50v is due
on the doorstep from Dell this week.

FYI. At the Dell outlet the X50v, with all the "stuff", is on
sale for $315.00 + UPS. So.........why not have another?

Dont bother upgrade, wm5 sucks big time if you need bt to pair up with your phone. I have tried every tricks in the world to get my x50v wm5 to connect to a Nokia N70 it worked on 2003se with no problem at all. DAMN now I know why! 2003se had Widcomm stack and in WM5 MS have there own BS BT stack that doesnt work. WM5 is a f.... downgrade if you ask me. And I cant believe they released this upgrade when it wasnt finished. They should have called it an late alpha early beta release and not charge for it.
