Any timeline on WM5 update?

I too am having a lot of the problems echoed in this forum, what a horror show to say the least.

Has anyone heard from Dell (or another reliable source) when there will be an expected update? You know it’s bad when Dell is offering a utility on its website to enable people to downgrade back to WM2003 SE!

Thanks

I haven't tried it--I'm sticking with 2003 for the time being

I don't think Dell thinks anything is wrong with windows mobile 5, they are sending me a replacement Axim and they said that Windows mobile 5 should work on the replacement, but I need to call the tech to walk through the installation, YEAH RIGHT, there goes a 10 hour install

I just had the same thing... My support person got sick for a few days so I did the install myself, but on updated hardware A09 instead of the A05 I had, WM 5 so far is completely different, and I really like it now. Definately sticking with it. Maybe there was something with the old hardware that caused problems.

They will send you the model you currenty have minus a battery and styles, then you send your unit back in the box they provide, but you keep your original battery and styles, I don't think they would upgrade your unit, however they may if it is still under warrenty for a price.

Does the A09 and A05 refer to an actual hardware difference or does it signify the rom version that is pre-installed on the unit?
