Arrow Got my second cd today

After argueing with dell about sending me my free cd finally they sent it and sent me my original one too. I think I will just sell it on ebay or something to make up for all the time i spent argueing with dell.

Sounds to me as if there's so many 2nd CDs out there that they're becoming almost like AOL CDs, which could feed the world's hungry if they were edible.

Why not think of your 2nd cd as an important backup?

Perhaps a stupid question, but are the contents actually the same?

Or... think of your 2nd cd as a cd that was supose to be given to another person.. Like ME!
I've been arguing with dell since october 1st and I still haven't recieved my free cd. I've been calling and chatting with them every day since October 21st, each day the person says it'll arrive promptly and he/she/it is ssending me one. Maybe ill recieve a huge box of them....

I donated my second disk to a friend.
As for keeping as a backup . . . . once you install it, there isn't much need for the disk.
It would take a BIG jolt to knock it out of the device . . . and that kind of thing would likely require Dell servicing to fix anyway.
So, I have it sitting in my stack of old and usless disks.

How did you get them to send you the CD? When I try to argue with them, they just said " we apologize for the inconvenience" and nothing else.

I never had to call or ask or argue to get my free CD. It just came, last Friday. Maybe be a little more patient?

Nice Job. You must be very persuasive to get dell to do that, I had a hard time even getting them to acknowledge that windows mobile 5 was released already at the end of october. He told me that it had not been released yet from microsoft, so i told him that it was already shipping on the x51, and he said that the x51 still ships with the old version of wm and that dell would ship x51 owners an upgrade cd. Then he wouldn't believe me and asked me to find the spec sheet for the x51 that showed it comes with wm5 and cut and paste the link into chat.

If anyone ever penned something worth quoting, Petite Flower did.
Perhaps we could all practice a little patience.

Received my upgrade CD a week ago. Still unwrapped until all
the pro's and con's sink in. Like Petite Flower, I never called
or asked, the CD magically appeared.

You must first have a lot of patience to learn to have patience.
