Im pretty sure. I went to restore and it says no restore files available or something like that. I lost alot from my ewallet....Im screwed for sure. I backed up like they said, but just realized, it says to drag and drop files from the built in storage manually...so if you upgrade, make sure you read it carefully.

I have an old backup that will help, but cannot access it in sktools where i backed it up from. Im dead!!

If you do full system backup on WM2003 you cannot restore it on WM2005, because it is different OS. If you do full backup with SKTools 2.2.xx you can open backup file and partially extract files how you need, but only files, not PIM data.

You cannot do a backup and restore with activesync 4.0 and WM 5.0. If you had AS 4.0 and WM 2003 it CAN do a backup and restore. If you look at the new AS4.0 help file there will be a blurb at the top of the help page on backup and restore that distinctly sez this is no longer supported.

For reasons still unclear to me the backup/restore feature was purposely disabled in AS 4.0 for WM 5.0 PPC's. Why? Dunno

The instructions for the upgrade specifically stated not to backup using Activesync. It said to copy the items to your PC, which be through Windows Explorer. Than you would copy back any files you needed after the upgrade was completed.
