I am one of the folks who got the WM5 upgrade for my Axim x50v and could not wait to get it installed. Like most, I had no problems for a day or two. Then I started getting the gwes error and then the blank screen and memory error. I was never able to get it reset.

I did get a replacement and was told by the tech people that a fixed version would be available soon - in a week or two. I was also told that very few folks are having a problem and there was an inference that 3rd party apps may be the cause. However, I never really got an answer regarding what problem they found that needed fixing.

Has anybody gotten a straight answer about what the problem is? I am wondering if it stems from their new way of looking at memory (i.e. no built in storage vs. main - only main). It seems to me that you should not be able to crash a device so that even a hard reset does not work. Maybe the files in rom are not being properly protected now.

I am curious what people have heard on the issue and how it is being resolved.
