Hi my came already with WM5 bought a gps and after two nights found a solution
BTHTools - http://www.bonver.hu/www.igo.hu/download/bthtools.zip
this makes when unpaired and paired the gps back an additional question on which com port he should run the gps.... this is solved in WM5 only virtually but this tool helps a lot ;-)

OK, so finally got the Downgrade from Dell site, it kept locking on me!! I guess there must be alot of peope donloading it!

I loads, but then quite saying there is USB problem, please reset your device and start again.

All I can thnk of is that I upgraded to Active sync 4.1 to try and get device eploring working, but since then the screen flashes and the sync is unstable.

Any I deas, I havetrie uninstalling Active sync, and just putting 4 on, but it is teh same. Now I have tried uninstaling the USB ports and starting totally again.

This is all reminding me why I use MAC!! All I want is a GPS, with email!!

that happened to me the first time... hard reset ppc, restart computer... ignore activesync completly and then i got it to work

anyone notice their AXIM (I have x50v) is a lot slower/having a hard time setting up immediately following reversion from WM5 to 2003?

hi, i do notice it, but it is quite late now, i use R115117 this to downgrade, i guess this is the problem, i notice that it is for x50 and x50v, are you using R115117 to downgrade too?

edit: after a few hard reset + soft reset, it i managed to setup at last

I'd say mine was about 5 times quicker than before i upgraded... :love:

i heard that the x51v using different type of memory.........so after downgrading any problem? that mean x51v does not have internal battery????? so how......pls help me??

Yes, as I know, X51V is not able to run any OS that is lower then WM5
