WM5 Downgrade - Danger Will Robinson

I installed WM5 on my X50V over the weekend without problems. When I realized I could not access the DUN from my V710, I decided to use the 111630.exe downgrade file from Dell.

On each attempt, the Axim began the process to transfer the ROM image, then performed a soft-reset all on its own without completing the downgrade.

After repeating the process with a Dell tech rep, Dell offered to trade my device with one that has PPC2003SE on it.

Anybody else have this problem with downgrading?

I had no problems with the downgrade, but I did do a hard reset first.

Thanks, everyone. I performed the hard reset and made sure that all of my open programs were closed before performing the downgrade.

Last night, the Dell tech rep and his manager made it clear that an update to WM5 A1 was expected to be released on the order of a couple weeks.

Other than the BT DUN issue, I like WM5 and expect to update my OS again at that time.

I think I should point out that Senator's link it for the X50v, and not the X50. Here's a link to that...
