<!--StartFragment -->Frankly I am getting tried of Dell's "lies" (or lack of knowledge) about when I will get my upgrade disc. First it was Oct 10th., then it was Oct 17th., then it was Oct 21st., then Nov 11th. and now the 14th. of Nov (which has come and gone with no CD).....anyone else have this much trouble? I am at the point of telling Dell that if you cant get this to me by weeks end I want to send back my X50v for a full refund on the basis of deceptive and misleading advertising.

If you're still in AZ, the 14th hasn't come and gone yet...
If they are using something besides regular mail (they usually use UPS or DHL) then they have until midnight for today to be over.
There are many posts on here from people saying they've recieved their CDs and even a few saying they got multiple copies.

Well, mine was supposed to be here on the 11th and still hasn't arrived. Then I read posts on here of people receiving multiple copies. This doesn't exactly promote faith in Dell business practices.

I got mine on November 1st. I'd call Dell and snnoy them some more about this and make them give you some sort of discount or something because if they say one date, they should stick to it!

Well, I ordered mine in September and just received confirmation of shipment on Friday. I didn't go into work today so I don't know if it arrived and I won't claim that Dell has sent it until I see the "whites of its eyes"
I was debating tonight whether I should install it now or wait until some of the bugs are out. I imagine I will invite the challenge and go ahead and do it!
When I originally ordered my x50v, I had cancelled the WM5 upgrade cd, to save the extra $50 bucks, but they ended up sending it to me anyways in the mail today...lol
I bought my X50v in April 05 so i didnt qualify for the free upgrade to WM 5.0 but i called Dell to see if they would send me one for free. Within 2 days I rec'd from airborne express a cd of the original OS on my Axim. I calledDell back got transferred 3x's & was on hold for over 1 hr with no resolution. Today I got email from orig Dell customer support person I 1st spoke to & she said he looked into my file & saw they they sent wrong cd & she will be sending the correct one. Hope I get it saves me $50. FIngers crossed.......

I finally got my free upgrade disk today. I complained weekly but it probably did no good; just takes time. Also, having to wait, I got a chance to read about all the fun everyone is having with WM5. Since I use my Axim as a tool and not a GameBoy, I'll wait until the bugs are sorted out.
