WM5+x50v: "battery critically low" BUT not really

On my upgraded x50v with WM5, I haven't had any of the common problems such as the cpu running high or the battery draining quickly. I don't use any today-plugins and only have magic button running. One night, I installed enigmo and installed adobe reader. I left the axim charging and went to bed. The next day, I took the axim without turning it on. Once I was out, I turned it on, and it reported that the battery level is critically low and the device will be powered down. Then it's off and I can't turn it back on. Pressing the reset button didn't help.

I took out the battery to see if it were damaged but it was fine and cool. I put it back in and then I was able to turn on the axim. The battery level is at 100% and so is the backup battery.

So I suspect that the WM5 battery level monitor somehow lost calibration with the battery and thought it was low. I guess taking the battery in and out somehow forced it to recalibrate. Strange. So maybe if your device doesn't turn on or reports low battery, then maybe the battery level is fine but the software is at fault.

Sorry if this has been reported elsewhere, but I've mostly seen people saying that their battery is actually low and not just incorrectly reported as low.
