I have a bunch of clinical reports that we pass around via e-mail, while preparing them for distribution, at the hospital. Some of the supervising psychologists like to use password protection, in particular in my current rotation. The Word documents are created and edited in Word 2004 (on my computer) and/or Word 2000 on their computers, and interchange between the two works fine. The passwords are created using the option in Word itself.

The problem is that Mobile Word doesn't seem to support password protected files.

Is there anything I can do about that? Any workarounds that are WM5 / x51v compatible?

If I am on the go at the hospital, and I have my PPC with me, I want to be able to read reports people send back and see what the edits were, etc....
