Why is my browser shutting down??
I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem but my browser keeps shutting down. It's super irritating and I'm hoping someone can help.
I have an x50v upgraded to WM5. It seems that sometimes my browser (both PIE and Netfront 3.3) chokes on the data and totally closes. If I reopen the browser it might be able to handle 1 or 2 pages and then requires a soft reset to get back to normal.
Any ideas what is causing this?

My IE would quit suddenly at times. The fix was to uninstall the flash-player plugin. I guess going to websites with flash, which is hard to avoid since ads are now flash, caused a problem with the plugin that also crashed IE.

I don't think that is the problem I am having. I have not installed Flash and this happens on with both PIE and Netfront.

I've experinced this problem several times, but don't worry the cure is easy!
Start explorer go into the options menu, select "delete files" and tada it's working again...seems like ms screwed up something with the explorer cache.

I have the same problem and as unlogic said deleting the files in the option menu sloves the problem every time.

Alright, I'll give that a try. Thanks.
Is there any way to limit the cache in the registry? Maybe that would help.

I have the same problem and going into the option menu is not always an option when PIE shuts down before it is even fully up. But the few times that I managed it, it worked, otherwise, I need to soft-reset, then PIE works again.
If it's not cache related, it might be related to the number of processes that are open at the time that I use PIE since a reset fixes it.
At any rate, just add to the WM5 bug list...

Ya, I was just reading Menneisyys' article about processes and it sounds like that might be the problem. I had Calendar+ running and have shut it off to see if that is one of the problems.
For those that have not read this yet, there are only so many processes allowed at any one time by Windows Mobile 5 and some programs are process hogs. Also, if you have a bunch of programs open (smart minized?) you can run into the same problem.
