In the last two weeks I've tried and tested WM5 on my X50v extensively with many type of softwares and today plugins understanding the fact that "Yes, with the upgrade you can do about 95% of what I did before upgrade using WM2003SE". Although some software doesn't work or do it badly, generally speaking WM5 on X50v works.
Then, for personal needings, I had to downgrade to WM2003SE (a short period needing, initially) and

WHOA! What a speed increase in everything!!!!

But I tweaked WM5 in all the possible ways suggested in this forum; why such a difference? I never noticed how fast is my PDA until this downgrade!
Meanwhile lots of people say there's a big speed increase in the upgrade, not in the downgrade! They say everything goes faster than before (I assume they made the cache tweak as suggested here:
WM5 is here to stay ).
I'm not here to attack Dell or Microsoft, to say something like "WM5 on X50v is crap", but I've one simple question:
-
Why are there so many different WM5 experiences although we have have all the same piece of hardware (or not)?
Thanks for the attention. I'll wait the next rom release of WM5 to try it again. I really expected this change and I'm a little disapointed by this results.
