I've been watching the multiple threads on upgrades for sometime now and am still not sure just what updates/upgrades I should apply to my X50V. It seems like with each version change, a series of "I wish I hadn't..." messages follow. So my question is... should I or shouldn't I change my configuration. Things appear to be working well (but could they be better??? AND is it worth the risk?)

My current configuration:
X50V
ROM A03
WM 2003 SE v. 4.21.1088
ActiveSync V. 3.7.1

What - if anything - should I change?

All advise appreciated. Thanks.

I haven´t tried the A03 ROM because my Axim came with the A05 ROM. But I haven´t had any problems with this ROM. If any, you should consider updating to the A05 ROM.

But if it isn´t broken, why fix it?

I meant wait. Wait until this issue is settled and the upgrade works correctly. There are way too many problems right now w/the upgrade. Every other post describes these problems yet everyone is upgrading. I say be patient.

But if you like to (and can afford to) take the risk then it could be a good challenge too.

Only you can determine if it's the right thing to do. Not a bunch of Internet forum junkies who really have no idea how you use your PDA :)

I would update to the latest Rom A05 for 2003se, as for updating the OS to WM5 I would and am waiting for those issues to be resolved before I upgrade too that OS!

Thanks for the advice. I guess A05 is the way to go and hold off on the WM5.

Is there any advantage to ugrading to the newer versions of ActiveSync?

Well, I upgraded both to WM5 and ActiveSync 4.1 No problems here!
