Exclamation WM5 downgrade to WM2003: Take Office applications with you?

It burns me up I can't use the new Office applications I was looking forward to, just because the WM5 O/S portion of the upgrade works poorly with my X50v.

Has anyone made a serious attempt to take the Office applications back to WM2003? What will it take?

i think that energy would be better spent applying the dozen or so workarounds to get a fast and stable WM5 installation up and running, out of the box WM5 is a dog, but with a tiny amount of elbow grease you can get it running smooth as silk.

WM5 rendered my device useless. I could not store programs to memory cards, could not utilize bluetooth, could not sync with outlook and so on. Only the latter was fixable.

I really don't understand how apply to grease a vehicle with no wheels and expect it to run.

OK, back on topic: How do I get the new Pocket Word, Excel, and Powerpoint on my device without killing my device with WM5 O/S?

I'm sure you could copy the files across, but they probably won't run. The programs are very likely to be compiled to use features of the WM5 operating system that don't exist in WM2003SE.

It's a bit like saying "How can I get Office 2003 to run on Windows 95?" - the operating system just can't provide what the new Office asks it for.
