media player synch issue

HELP ME........
I haven't tried to load videos since getting my replacement. so, that would also mean since going wm5 too.
so my issue is that media player no longer sees my device.
I tried re-installing as4.0, as4.1, media player 10. all no luck.
i'm using the 'new and improved' ;o) rom a04.
my desktop is xp pro x64. but it was fine when I loaded to my old x50v.
anyway, any thoughts would be most appreciated since one of the main uses for my device is watching video.

Not a fix for the above issue, but a way around it.
I found a string on TCPMP and downloaded it.
As I said, I was able to move files via the AS explorer option, I just couldn't play them in WP10.
But with TCPMP, They play great.
