new to this site and to dell axim [i have an X50v for work] love it!!!!

my dad also has one for his job and says its the best bit of kit he ever had! [why i got one]

he told me dell are giving out WM5 to there customers as a free update?!?!? how and where do i get hold of it??? :approve:

Only free if you bought it in the qualifying period. If you are entitled to a free upgrade it will be marked on your invoice. If it isn't you'll have to buy it if you want it

Good point but, sorry, you left out, "If you have the time, call Dell support." Best if you happen to be multilingual too! :rolling:

Might be faster to stick with WM 2003SE for a few months then,
hopefully the bugs'll be patched and, there will probably be a few gazillion CD's for sale. Any and everywhere!.

I would not be in a big hurry to update! Have you seen all the problems people are having with WM2005 on thier X50/X50v's? I would wait for 6 months till some of these problems get worked out first. I have a X50v running Pocket PC 2003se and it works very well for me. I need it for work so it has to work for me. I would love to play around with updating it but if I "brick it" I will be screwed! Just my 2 cents. Good luck with what ever path you choose.
