Aargh! Complete crash...

Well, I had been running my upgraded X50v fine for a couple of weeks using the CD purchased from Dell--although I was still having the battery drain issue (despite disabling the always-on Activesync).

Anyway, I had to reset my unit last night because it had frozen in the middle of a wifi Avantgo sync--and the unit is now completely unusable. When I soft reset, the little scroll bar made it about 80% of the way across the screen, and then stopped. After several tries--and knowing I had a backup on hand from a few days ago--I went for the hard reset. No difference. I removed the battery for several minutes; when I reinserted it, the unit powered up, and said I had a 'memory error', but I was unable to make it past the stalled scroll bar.

The good news is, the Dell folks listened to my story and should have a new unit out to me early next week...

How long did you wait till a new reset/hard reset?
I had the same problem and almost gave up but...It survived! Try a hard reset once more and wait about 20 minutes. It sure will be back to life.

I think I waited a couple of hours. But I'll try once more, just for kicks, and let it sit overnight...
