Completed the update for WM5 released for x51v. Still losing CF card. Was the update not intended to correct this problem?

same thing happened to me. I did a soft reset, then inserted my CF card and it showed up.

If you try chewbacca's solution and it doesn't work, post your CF side/brand here because it seems it might be certain cards that don't work.

I have had the happen to three cf cards of mine, different makes and sizes. My Hitatchi 4g microdrive is the one that seems to stay around longest. but, in the end even it disapears.

I have a Hitachi 4GB Microdrive. It only disappears when I remove the card from the PPC. When I re-insert it, it does not show up again until I soft reset. I don't normally remove it, so it is always there.
