Internet Explorer - Problem with "Create Mobile Favorite..."
Hello to all.
1stly, thanks to all for the great forums! My gear - x51v, IE6, AS4.0 I have no probs at all with my x51v It does not add anything to the created directory in Favorites.., and there's no other way to state which pages to load up when syncing with the PDa. Any suggestions? Thanks.

In ActiveSync, you have to make sure that the Favorites are being synchronized. Open ActiveSync, click Options, and make sure "Favorites" is checked. If you click once on Favorites to highlight it and then click Settings, also make sure that the shortcut you want to sync is checked.

I am having the same problem with both ActiveSync 4.0 and ActiveSync 4.1. Basically it just creates a link, but any downloaded content won't be synched up to the handheld. Anyone know a resolution of thisi problem?

This is from MS site:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ncFeatures.asp Seems that they have disabled the sync of offline content to WM5. Anyone know of any software that can do the trick instead? Thanks. Quote:

I just downloaded an installed World Off-Line by Sunnysoft. It didn't specifically mention support of WM 5.0. But after the troubles I've had what is one more!
I'll update everyone by the end of the weekend and let them know if it works!

The World off-line appears to work pretty well. I'm having a problem syncing just one site and get the error: “failed to send request to remote host” I've written tech support, but haven't heard back. Other than that one site it appears to be a workable program.

Commiserator of the WM 5 / AS 4.0 offline mobile favorites problem
t7c192,
I have been climbing the walls trying to figure this out as well, thanks for the reference. At least now I know they did it on purpose and I can stop looking for a Microsoft solution to the problem. By the way, there was a link to leave feedback for the authors of the "table of improvements". Unfortunately, it is too long to print here, but the overall gist was a question of their mental stability for calling this an "improvement". I'll repost if I get a reply. Again, thanks for the research.
