WM5 Messenger app e-mail problems

Hi all. I am currently running the X51V A04 ROM, WM5, and a 512 Sandisk Ultra-II SD card.

Periodically when dloading e-mail on the built-in Messaging App, the app locks up and I am unable to access the system till a soft reset is done. Mail attachments are set to be saved to the SD card, but I have also noticed these periodic lock-ups with attachments saved to internal memory.

Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, do you have a solution or workaround?

Thanks in advance,
Dennis

Try setting it not to download attachments at all and see if it still happens. That should rule out the SD card factor at least.

Peedyay,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it, but unfortunately, it still locks up. It does not happen consistently, which makes it all the harder to track down...

I find the messaging app on my K-JAM locks up sometimes. Actually, I don't have enough time to figure out if attachments have anything to do with it. Usually it happens when I tap the app to open, but also when it is already open. Screen flashes to white and then slowly to black as the unit soft resets by itself.

Mad

I have the same problem. I even set the messaging only donwload the header. It still gets the hang problem randomly. When it hang, you can turn the machine off, but when it turns on, you got white screen and you need to reset in order to fix it.

I'm so fed up with this e-mail "bug" that I am considering purchasing a retail e-mail program. The thought of that disgusts me, since I don't require any type of fancy e-mail program - just something simple, reliable, and stable. Is that so hard to ask for?

At least I don't feel like I am the only one encountering this problem. Misery loves company!
