I had to do it...
Well, I just updated my x50v to WM5.
was a bit scared, but what the heck... only got one life to live so after installing WM5, I noticed that there was a major decrease in speed, what a HOG!!! WM5 really sucks up everything you got. Is there anyway to control this? Accessing my SD was also slow, is this everyone or is it just me? So far after one day of playing with WM5, I am pretty happy with it, I have no GPS yet, so I can't comment on that. For the moment I do not see why I should go back to 2003SE. The setup ran smooth and everything worked like a charm, bluetooth sync, wireless connections, so far no complains. I hope that it stays that way

after using WM5 for a few days, I really gave up. tried all the tweaks, but did not notice an increase in speed. I guess that I will do like everyone else and wait for the "better/faster" version to come out.
So i am very glad to be back to WM2003SE my x50v is back to the speed that I want. And my programs run better. So goodbye WM5, i am sure that our paths will cross again.

I've found that not closing apps when I'm done with them improves speed (I used to use battery pack pro to really close apps when I was done with them). WM5 seems good at managing memory well and once an app is loaded it seems to run faster then next time it's used in my experience over the last couple weeks.
