Hello, I wanted to upgrade to WM5 but I'm not sure whether my Japanese IME programs will still work.

Bagoj seems to work, right?
But what about Decuma Japanese and Atok?

concerning Decuma Japanese, I've found the following site:

正常稼動（ＩＭＥ日本語変換はできない）
Means works, but Kanji conversion does not work.
Can anyone confirm this?

The same site says about ATOK

Short translation: Does not work.
BUT: concerning these two sites:

...ATOK seems to work. But maybe my japanese just isn't good enough.

So, if anyone could tell me quick which japanese IME work on WM5 (and how well they work), I would be very happy!

I'm using x50v+WM5. I'm using ATOK and have no problem. However, please remember default ATOK SIP makes your Axim frozen and you will have to hard reset as you found. To prevent this, you must install "Def SIP Changer for WM5 made by KOTETU-san. http://d.hatena.ne.jp/KOTETU/00000110

You haven't tried Decuma Japanese, do you?
I would like to know whether "Kanji conversion" does work - or not, as stated in the link I've found (the site seems to be wrong with ATOK, so maybe Decuma does work perfectly, too).

As you know, once you tap ATOK icon in control panel, ATOK changes the default SIP to "Eisu" of ATOK's. Def SIP Change protects you from this setting. I used Decuma Japanese before on my previous PDA. I am not using Decuma right now because of its license issue. So I cannot respond to your question.

In WM2003, you just have to replace the 2 files

In WM5, unfortunately, you have to change the Owner Name to "Alan Ho" in order to register the software. Anyone knows how to work around this problems ?
