PocketBible Problems
I recently re-upgraded to WM5 (I tried it/downgraded/re-trying it).
Everything is work now pretty decently except one of my main apps, and that is the pocketbible. Right now it seems to be only displaying a the very first verse on any given chapter. Kind of frustrating.
Anyone experienced this, have a work around.
I'm running pocketbible 2.026 and I have the bible installed on my CF card. I've tried soft-resetting to no avail. I may try reinstalling it and see if that corrects the problem.
Any advice and/or help would be greatly appreciated.
Mike

Yup
I tried installing the Bible in main memory instead of the CF card - no luck. Next step is to uninstall/reinstall.

Have you tried support at Laridian? I've always found them most helpful.

I have had the same problem with eBible - I sent the company an e-mail, but haven't gotten a response. I figure that I am going to have to purchase a new version before I can get it to work...

Pocket Esword is the way to go. I switched from Laridian cause the bibles and the app are free.

You're all wrong about bible software...
www.olivetree.com is the best on the market.

I guess I spoke to soon, eBible responded to me today with a temporary fix that actually works. They are currently working on a fix and will e-mail me when they have it. Now that's customer service ;-) I have been really pleased with ebible - you might want to check them out at www.ebiblepda.com

I've logged a problem (before I posted here this morning) so I think I'll need to sit and wait.
I'll take a look at olive tree. I've been a pocketbible user for years so I'm not all that jazzed up about changing, but it does effect my reading habits as I don't have the Bible handy. :(

Pocket Bible Problem
Have you downloaded/installed teh latest program update? Most of the recent revisions have been WM5 related.
Other than that, I second the suggestion to contact Laridian tech support. In my experience they have been quite helpful.

Hi all,
Per the knowledge base on laridian's web site...
PocketBible only displays a few verses at a time.
PocketBible version 2.030 or older will only display a few verses at a time when using a Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 5.
To check your version of PocketBible, go to View and About PocketBible while in the application. If you are at a version previous to 2.030 then you need the update (free to registered customers).
Log into your Laridian account which shows your PocketBible purchase or CD registration, download and install the PocketBible update.
Hope this helps!
Merry Christmas to all!

I have a problem, and I'm not sure if it's a PocketBible problem or a WM5 problem or what, I just notice it when using PocketBible. Here's the problem:
I have pocket bible running, and my Ax goes to sleep. When I hit the power button to wake it back up, it comes up like normal, but when I try to do something in PocketBible, advance to the next verse, tap on a link, etc., the program terminates and I'm back at the Today screen. When I reopen PocketBible, it opens to the spot where it was at my last successful exit of the program, not where it was when it died on it's own.
Has anyone experienced this problem with PocketBible, or other programs? I have an Axim X51v with A12 ROM running PocketBible v. 3.042. I don't know if this matters or not, but my program launcher is iLauncher 3.0.

Definitely a problem of WM5. The same thing happens with other programs, eg. PI 2007.

So there's no registry setting or anything that fixes this I guess? That stinks. It's really annoying.
