Colour coding calendar appointments

Hi,
I am using the standard calendar and would like to know is it possible to colour code appointments - ideally by category. I am self employed and would like to see quickly when I am billing, developing, admin etc.
Right now everything shows up as the same colour.
Thanks
Jim

Color coding...

Let me know if you find anything. It would be wonderful to have the colors sync with Outlook!

I don't think the built-in calendar can do that. I use Pocket Informant, which can color the text or the background of any appt...based on category or status (free, busy, etc). Agenda Fusion can also do that. Those are the two big PIM replacements.

There is a 50% off coupon for Pocket Infusion by WebIS in a thread around here somewhere. You can try and see if it still works. That would make it around $15.
PI is what I use to color my contacts and appointments based on category and it also does much much more.

Is that for the latest revision? On their website I think it was for rev3, but you can d/l rev4 now. I'm trying rev4 now and it is really good.

If you want a colour, perhaps you would like to try PI 2005 Rev.5 first

Too bad its not built in, I really cannot afford any more software for my axim. Maybe a small freeware plug in? Anybody know?

If they can put it on the desktop, you would think it would be easy to do for the PPC. It would aslo be more useful on a handheld!
