What is gwes.exe?
Keep getting an error message saying gwes.exe is not responding? What does this executable do?

Search on the SBSH PocketBreeze forum for GWES.EXE and you'll find references to WM5 "features".

i had the same problem. it would repeatedly tell me that the file was not responding and i wasnt able to do anything. What i finally did was turn off error reporting and it seemed to start working better. I dont know if turning that off is good or bad but it did help.

try to turn off Wi-Fi everytime when you turn off Axim. I had same message few times and it had happened mostly with Axim in cradle and wi-fi on while soft reset was required. Btw....PocketBreeze works great on my x51v.

I've been using Windows CE so many years...
Every Palm-size/PocketPC I've ever had has had the gwes.exe file and I accidentally deleted it once and the device wouldn't operate without performing a hard-reset. It's my understanding that it's the file that runs the initial system setup or keeps the entire WindowsCE OS operating...
