Avoiding dial-up when other connection is present (device connected to serial port)

I'm trying to get an Axim x51v with WM5 to connect via DUN and a serial cable to a special blackbox device (WT5000 from www.webtechwireless.com) The WT5000 provides gps and gprs ppp internet connection on an RS232 interface. A local driver is installed on the PDA and it seems to work fine.

The problem I get is that the PocketPC insist on dialing the internet even though i have internet connection through the serial cable. I have verified this by using vxUtil and pinging.

However when trying to access anything from the browser, it is trying to dial and it ends up failing.

My question if anyone knows of a way to tell WM5 that I already have a connection and please don't try to dial?
