Dell Customer Care Service - NOT!

I don't post often, but I have taken advantage of the great advice and info here. Now I have a rant, excuse me.

Just got off the phone with customer service. I purchased the x50v mobile 5 upgrade at the end of october, received it in November, fussed with it until today, downgraded today so I would get my functionality back. My GPS did not work, adobe reader did not install, real player did not install, avantgo would not sync.

I wanted a refund. I was told that it had been over 21 days and in addition, I had accepted the sw as is because I opened the envelope.

The customer care rep(a supervisor) told me that technical support may be able to tell me when working software would be available (I asked if he could tell me when updates were coming).

I completely lost it at that point and became juvinile and told him that customer care 'sucked'.

Am I the only one who won't be buying Dell for a while?

Have you tried using Dell chat? I have always had lots of luck with that. Good luck!

I've used it also, when buying a inspiron 6000 laptop from them, the guy helped alot and wasn't all "Yo dude this computer is so good, you gotta buy it." He told me about alternatives, which was pretty cool if you ask me. Still went with the 6000 though.
