Is there a newer version of IE for WM5?
Hi,
I found the IE on my x51v running WM5 was a very old version. When I logged on my.yahoo.com, the web page showed a big warning saying I was using Internet Explorer 4.0! But I can't confirm the version because I don't see the Help menu. Does anyknow know which version of IE WM5 comes with? Is there a newer version? Or better, is there an alternative browser for WM5? thanks in advance

IE in WM is not the same of regular IE. Its called PIE (pocket internet explorer) Yahoo was for some reason interpretted your browser as IE 4.0 but it is not.
In PIE there isn't really known versions. It would just be, I guess, PIE in WM2003, or PIE in WM5. PIE in WM5 is the newest version. It supports saving images, full screen, and has a page loading bar.

As tancerman said, you can't really upgrade IE. However, what you can do is apply a tweak that will trick the site into thinking you have a later version browser using a utility such as Tweaks2K2.
BTW, welcome to Aximsite!
