Would be interesting to see if the upgrade actually makes the pda more useable, from a consumers point of view. After all it doesnt say on the sheet of paper which was shipped with my upgrade 'The unit may not start if it is left in the cradle overnight, after the upgrade'

I know that I have heard so many different dates on this update, that I could really just care less right now. I have tweaked and tweaked until I have finally gotten my x50v to a point that it is working halfway decent after a month-and-a-half of adjustments. I am now kinda scared that after this "upgrade" that I may have to start all over again if they haven't gotten the problems worked out...

I have been told "in the next 10 days" multiple times throughout the last month and a half by the Dell ppl...so I am going to be slightly excited, but not enough to have my heart broken once again by a passing Dell deadline.

I wouldn't count on it. If it doesn come out I would like to see if it give more available ram to run programs. If not, I'll pass for now.

yeah, i m with kulnet. as long as it comes i am happy. it could do nothing and i would still install it. gives me something to do

When they actually do release the WM5 ROM update for the x50v, I will be 100% sure to crap my pants . Pretty sure Dell is just telling everyone quick dates so that they can get them off of the phone/chat session to increase their customer service ranking. Oh well, what can ya do.
