I got mine free. Why would I want to return it? I guess if you actually paid for it...

C'mon Guys, is Xmast, are you working hard?, same as the Dell Dudes, they are thinking in having fun and forget about work, give some time, they will fix it, but will take time and effort, and of course, wait until the release the fix.

I will get it Again when it might work......meantime why spend good $$ for bad Software even though upgrade s not expensive
would you stick with with lemon car just because it may be fixxxxxed some day

Some sales depend on no returns to make $$$ .... not this one for me :)

Yes, you have a good point of view, but the X50V does not cost as much as a car, I respect your point of view, but the real true, how long will take until you get your cash return and after several e-mails and calls, my advice, just wait and be the same time as fighting for a cash return, and you will get the fix and the sw.

I work for a software company and we as well as Dell do not want displeased customers so returning it is not a bad thing. The cost of the upgrade is not significant but time to try to install , do problem determination and fixes is...... so the Dell refund is fine and a later upgrade may be worth it.......... the pioneers somes catch the arrows or Bleading Edge Technology can be painful

Other that lousy battery life I have not had any problems with my X50v. I will weather the storm and wait for the next patch.

I didn't return it, but I'm also not using WM5. To be honest, I really don't think they're going to come out with a bug fix. I hope I'm wrong but I can see them doing that.

One of the main problems with WM5 how active sync would auto start every 5 minutes or so. This is 1 of the things that caused the processor to always be at 624mhz, and cause the device to be slow, and cause the battery drain issues. Once I fixed that I didn't have any problems (including the missing cf card)

The lemon car is a poor analogy since the X50V with WM2003.2 works fine; it is WM5 that is the lemon!
