No there are versions for 2003 which work fine with many devices, I have it installed on an iPaq 5555 which works well. It is just that I can't get it to work on my x51v.

I still run WM2003SE on my X50v so I wasn't able to confirm whether WM 5.0 support includes support for the X51. In the readme of Card Export it says:

7. History
01 Jan 2006 version 2.10: Generic support for Windows Mobile 2005 (Windows CE 5.0) devices

Just as a side note, have you guys noticed that when you run the setup executable, two files will be copied in your destination dir?

cardexport.ARMV4.cab
CardExport-wm5.ARMV4.cab

I'm not sure, but perhaps the wrong cab file was used when you tried it on an Axim with WM 5.0?

Just tried uninstalling the program and then installed using the WM5 cab and got the exact same results.

No, that's not it...I just placed the correct cab directly on the PDA and installed, so I'm sure there is really a problem...

Not blind. Only posting what the website doesn't mention. Please re-read my posting. The news section on the right side of the page says nothing about this release. Clicking on the "Read More" link in the blurb about WM5 support says nothing about this release.

Hey there,

Not too sure if anyone else has tried the Axim x51v/WM5.0 Card export combination with a Mac, but the program installs fine, but there is no activity on the Mac at all. The computer does not see the CF card that I specified.

I haven't yet tried it with a Win machine, but will later tonight.

I think we can safely say version 2.10 does NOT properly support the axim x51v. Feel free to keep trying but unless you're somewhat of a developer or a new version comes out, Im afraid you're wasting your time. :headshake

Man, I never really knew how important Card Export II was to me back when I had the Treo 650 until now and I miss it. Actually, I did use it a lot and it was my primary card reader. The speed was at least 75% of my new card reader now. The thing is, my card reader needs drivers but this Card Export II doesnt. That is where the value's at.

The same can be said for the X50v with WM5.

Just FYI a new version is out - 2.11.

Sadly it supposedly works for x50v but only 'readonly' mode, and it simply doesn't work on my x51v. *sobs quietly*

OK, the current quickfix release (just download it all again, there is no version number update) DOES work on my axim x51v! You HAVE TO put it in read-only mode by the way, but I can read data off my axim as an USB key. Cool.

When they get it to read/write I might just buy this thing.

This software only works with x51v in read-only mode.

No good for x51.
