I still have to disconnect the USB cable to switch on my x50v (2003SE). The download is for the new version but their website "news" section says nothing about the new release. Also don't like having to re-enter my 20 digit registration code everytime there's an update (although there haven't been too many updates).

Is it still needed with X50v/WM5 and ActiveSync 4.x? The ActiveSync file transfer is almost USB native speed...

Does not work here either. I have an x51v. It program would not install via activesync so I coppied over the .cab file and installed directly. The program then installed but when I switch to card exporter my device is not recognized by my laptop (no activesync installed). I unplugged my axim and attempted to switch back to activesync mode but complained that there is a missing dll.

Given these problems, thats probably why no mention was made of this new release. Hopefully a new release will be available soon to fix these problems. This is one app I am eagerly waiting to have working on the x51v.

Yes... What if you go to a computer that doesn't have a card reader and you either can't or don't want to install active sync to it?
Also, although I find the new activesync faster, transfering files with either card export or a card reader is still much faster...

I think the benefit of this utility is not only improved transfer speeds, but also the fact that you don't need to have AS installed at all to connect to your device.

Sadly it doesn't work on my x51v. It would be very cool to have this working since then you can plug in your PDA anywhere and transfer files to and from that machine without having to install activesync on it.

Anyone actually got it working on WM5?

I haven't had any luck either, tried it with both the SD and CF cards and always get a message saying there was a problem setting up the hardware on USB Mass Storage Device "a problem occured during hardware installation, your hardware may not work properly" or something to that effect.
