Problems with A01 to A04 upgrade resolved?????

Hey there,

I am just wondering if any of the people who were having troubles upgrading their x51v's from A01 to A04 were able to get them figured out?

For some people, they thought it was a Win2K pro SP issue, and others like myself were having the same problem on fully updated XP machines, but I have never been able to get mine to upgrade. It went all the way to %95 once, but then I had a connection timeout.

I have tried the upgrade from a Win2K pro machine, and from two XP SPII machines, but no luck. From the problems, it was feeling like a USB driver issue, but with so many microsoft problems involved, I tend not to want to blame a tried and true protocol like USB, when most likely, the problem is good old microsoft.

Basically, I am wondering if any of those users who were having the upgrade problems found a way around them? I am still on A01, and want off badly.

I dont think the problems were really with the ROM but the compatibility of the applications and the ROM. I never had no problem with A01 until I installed many third party software.
