Activesync 4.1 Error Message
. I have a new x51v that I haven't taken from the box yet, especially because of reading the horror stories here. But, I'm getting closer. To that end I thot I'd d/l AS4.1 and install in preparation. It seem to load okay until I get this error message:

"Error. Could not write Value Default Visible to Key\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extentions\{2EAF5BB1-070F-11D3-9307-00C04FAE2D4F}. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."

So, this is loading 4.1 on my personal desktop so there's no question of access. Has anyone else had this error message? Is there any way to fix it? I also have AS3.8 loaded for my x30H.

All advice and suggestions welcome.

It says you don't have permission to write to the registry. Try Start > log off > and login to another account

That's the thing. I'm the only account on this computer, so how can I not have permission?
