Active Sync Error??

I have been syncing through bluetooth for the past month and haven't had any problems. That is until today. Today when I tried to connect with my Axim I got a message on the PPC reading:"To synchronize this device you must install Activesync 4.0 or higher on your desktop computer."
I have had Activesync 4.1 for about three weeks now. What could be the problem with syncing over BT; it still syncs fine when cradled.
PS: X50mid, WM5, Activesync 4.1
