In Outlook, on your PC (Not on the PDA) is where you can maintain the master category list. From Desktop Outlook help:

BTW, I have a couple dozen categories. Since WM allows items to be in multiple categories, I find the granuarity convenient for locating specific items.

And, actually, the list would need to be maintained on both platforms in order to release unused categories.

Well, now I am lost! I have a category on my PPC that is not on my PC and I am not synched with anything else. I jsut compared the master category list between PC & PPC and they are totally different. Aside from the dreaded hard reset; anyone have an Idea how to reset the Master Category list?
Thanks Mark

You should be able to Add and Delete items in the Master Category list. The Reset option actually is more like a lobotomy; it sets everything back to the defaults. In other words, do not do that.
