Anyways, today windows sparked the fire that just crossed the line, i have had it with windows....i downloaded, ripped and install ubuntu (which i'm on now)

I suppse my question becomes self-explanatory now...how do i get linux (ubuntu) to detect my x51v?

I think there are tutorials online on how to get AS working with linux. try google. Ubuntu is a pretty nice distro, good choice.
