Can't hear calendar alarms with WM5 X51v
Howdy.. I have an X51v, and I'm missing out on reminders because they're not loud enough. I searched the forum and saw a reference to "Superalerts", which seems to be for WM2003/SE - it doesn't say it works with WM5. I have Battery Pack Pro, which has a "Power Alert" tab where you can select "Calendar Sound", "Tasks Sound", and "Alarm Sound", then a dropdown for volume. I have that set for Maximum, but there's no differnce in volume whether it's enabled or not. My old Palm T3 used to go "doo-doo-dee-doooooo doot-dee-dee doot-dee-doo!!!!" just as loud as heck, and it couldn't play an MP3 as loud as my PPC can. I know the Axim hardware can get loud.
Anyone know of something that'll help?
Tim

Same here
The calendar reminder function is pretty much useless. I'm surprised that Tweaks2k2 doesn't have something. :-(

Wow, that stinks. Reminding people of stuff it a pretty basic PDA function, it's odd that it's not able to do it better.
I have found that turning off all noises except the reminder, then cranking the volume works.. Until in the middle of a boring meeting, my PDA suddenly elicits "Welcome to Bejeweled 2" at top volume. Busted!!!!!
I've started a case with Omega One (Battery Pack Pro company) to see if there's something I missed in its setup - but so far, no joy.

I use these alarms
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=15505
Actually just the demo, never bought the whole pack. I use alarmdemo1, which is like a school bell. Loud enough for me to hear. However, I do keep it on my belt, not in a pocket, so that could make a difference.

I am not even getting alarms faintly. The appointments I have made all have the alarms set but none of them ever seem to go off.
I removed Battery Pack Lite thinking that this might be causing the problem after reading about it on this forum.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what I may have missed.
I am using:
X51v
Pocket Informant

I seem to be seeing alot of this if you use battery pack and pocket informant. My coworker was using both and was having the same issue. My only suggestion would be to make sure you have removed everything that pertains to battery pack.

Are you on the latest build of WM5 from Dell?
Don't know if it'll matter or not. I just purchased my Dell a week ago and it came with something like A01. I just upped to A06. Not sure what problems it fixes, but good to keep up.

I finally got the alarms back by hard reset and building everything back on, but this time I left out Battery Pack lite, its nice to have but not essential.
BTW, I was on ROM A06.
