A way to change program icons?

Is there a way to change the icons that represent programs, i.e. AIM uses the yellow man. Can that icon be changed?

I am not aware of any built-in method, but there might be one. It is possible with most of the alternative launchers. I use iLauncher and can change the icon.

I would guess the icon is part of the compiled exe file for most apps, so no.

Unless you compile a new "shell" .exe file and then use that call the proper .exe file.
Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

PPC shortcuts are a lot different than Windows. All the PPC ones give is the location of the exe, and then use the same icon as it. Where Windows shortcuts can be personalized a lot more.
